My name is Howard Bell and I started my company with one primary goal: deliver outstanding personal service and exceptional quality. Becoming the biggest home renovation company in Santa Fe is not one of my long term goals.

I am a fan of quality, craftsmanship, and ingenuity and I am inspired by the traditional building methods and materials of many cultures, as well as the innovations of today’s building sciences.

I created Kodama Construction to be a vehicle that could blend these concepts and philosophies into the practical aspects of providing quality projects in a timely and affordable manner.

At Kodama, we want you to be happy long after the last finish nail is in. We have a 2-year warranty on labor and workmanship and back it up with onsite quality control visits 6 months, 1 year and 2 years after your project is completed.

I guess you could call me “old school” even though I am still pretty young.

The ability to design and build is a special skill that few companies master. I pride myself on my ability to listen to your desires and then transform them into a pleasing and desirable design.

Since I collaborate on the design, I know all the details that are needed to build your project. That is another reason that you won’t be signing a change order unless you desire and approve a change to the original agreement.
